Sgt. Siwash Tee
Sgt. Siwash was no ordinary duck—he was adopted by the Marines of the 2nd Battalion, 8th Marines during World War II and quickly became one of the Corps’ most unusual mascots. Carried into the bloody Battle of Tarawa in 1943 where she found a Japanese rooster. Siwash earned her fame when she fearlessly waddled alongside the men as they pushed inland, seemingly unshaken by the chaos of combat. For her bravery and morale-boosting presence, the Marines gave her the honorary rank of Sergeant, and she went on to become a beloved symbol of grit, humor, and the bond between Marines in the toughest of times.
Bring back classic military humor with this Sgt. Siwash graphic t-shirt! Inspired by the legendary Marine Corps duck, this design celebrates grit, attitude, and old-school military wit.
